Some have a new baby, or a teenager, or a parent moving in, and the two of them have quietly stopped being a team. None of that requires a catastrophe to be worth an hour a week. The couples who do best in this work are almost always the ones who came before the damage was structural. When resentment has had ten years to set, undoing it is slow. What gets worked on ## Four things that come up _constantly_. **Conflict that goes the same way every time**Most couples have one fight. It appears as money or the in-laws, but it runs on the same rails every time. Catching it in the first ninety seconds changes a marriage more than any single insight. **Being roommates**Two people running a household efficiently and sharing almost nothing.
